Título: Orientações sobre o comportamento sexual e reprodutivo: princípios e práticas dos sacerdotes católicos

Resumo: A consideração e o respeito às crenças e valores religiosos são vitais para a integralidade da assistência à saúde. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever os princípios religiosos e as orientações no âmbito da sexualidade e reprodução, fornecidos pelos sacerdotes católicos. O método da história oral foi desenvolvido, e as entrevistas ocorreram entre agosto de 2007 e maio de 2008, analisadas de forma indutiva e interpretativa para o enfoque profundo no tema. Os entrevistados foram 13 sacerdotes da Igreja Católica da cidade de São Paulo. As orientações fornecidas pelos sacerdotes apresentaram caráter tradicional e conservador, pautadas em princípios da Doutrina Católica. As atividades de educação e promoção da saúde, envolvendo aspectos relacionados à sexualidade e reprodução, devem estar permeadas pela ética, sendo significativas, segundo a perspectiva dos usuários dos serviços de saúde.

"Discovering roads - the relationship between nurse and family in rural communities"

Abstract This research presents the experience lived by one of the authors as a nurse in rural communities in Peru. The aim was to describe and identify the meaning and sense found in daily life interactions between families and nurse into rural communities. The Interpretative Interacionism was the theoretical and methodological framework of this study. The experiences related to meanings and senses attributed to the daily interaction with families in rural communities were analyzed. “Discovering roads” was the main component of the experience. The valorization of the relationship between nurse and family, in a comprehensive and humanized way, characterized by mutual care, was the fundamental element utilized to carry out the basic nursing care actions in the communities. The following steps were carried out: Inserting in their world; Knowing their reality, Perceiving their vulnerability; Understanding their preoccupations; Perceiving their modes of action; Sharing their activities. In the description of the meanings attributed to experience, contextual aspects, actions and intentions of the nurse and the feelings emerged during the realization of activities with the families were explored. This work with families permitted us to understand the significance of the experience, rescuing the importance of nurse-family relationships through the use of adequate communication, observation and interaction, as well as, the utilization of strategies to achieve walking toward cultural maturity and mutual care, in order to solve the crucial problems and needs that emerges from the interaction between nurse and family in rural communities. Abstract: Objective: To describe the experience of 19 family members regarding teen pregnancy. Methods: This was a qualitative study using narrative analysis approach. Results: Three categories emerged: a) family values and sexual orientations given; b) receiving the pregnancy news and arrangements made; and, c) providing support tot eh pregnant teen. Conclusions: Teen pregnancy happened in a solid family organization context and the trajectory of teenager mothers after childbirth was characterized by family bonding and social network support. The new mother received material and psychoemotional support from her family members.

Título: Rescatando el autocuidado de la salud durante el embarazo, el parto y al recién nacido: representaciones sociales de mujeres de una comunidad nativa en Perú

Resumen: Este estudio cualitativo tuvo el objetivo de conocer el autocuidado tradicional de mujeres nativas durante el embarazo, el parto y al recién nacido. Fueron efectuadas 16 entrevistas parcialmente estructuradas a madres y parteras de una comunidad nativa peruana. Con el soporte de la teoría de las representaciones sociales y el método etnográfico, emergieron tres categorías temáticas: los símbolos y prácticas tradicionales representadas al cuidarse, preparan a la gestante para un parto fácil; la partera, saberes, prácticas y objetos durante el parto, representan protección para el bebé; la partera y la madre aseguran los cuidados inmediatos y la alimentación del recién nacido. Finalmente, las prácticas de autocuidado tradicional se consideran de sentido común, transmitidas generacionalmente y destacando la mujer cuidadora. Se objetiva respeto por su cosmovisión y naturaleza; y el anclaje de auto cuidado está arraigado a sus costumbres, creencias, símbolos e imágenes, con poca integración del cuidado y salud occidental.
